Frequently asked questions

Does Elta work offline? Yes. Everything runs on your device with a built-in catalog of 20,000+ common foods — no internet connection required. It works in the gym, on the road, or on a plane.

Is my data private? Yes. Elta stores all of your data locally on your iPhone. There is no cloud, no analytics, no ads, and nothing is ever sold. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I track my coach's plan? Open the Plan tab to set your program horizon in weeks and enter custom macro and nutrient targets. Elta tracks where you are in the prep against those numbers.

How do I share my week with my coach? Tap Share weekly report on the Plan or Me tab. Elta builds a branded PDF plus spreadsheet files on-device and hands them to the iOS share sheet (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, etc.). Data only goes where you send it.

Is Elta medical advice? No. Elta is informational and uses the published NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Nutrition Coach methodology. It is not a substitute for professional medical or nutrition advice.

Where the food data comes from

Food and nutrition data is sourced from USDA FoodData Central, a public-domain database from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Brand names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify foods.
